What we do with your details

Customer invitations are hidden from search engines and are not listed anywhere on this site. Anyone who has the link can open it, so share it the way you would share a card.

A personal link carries the guest's name in the web address so the cover can greet them. The invitation page does not store the name on our servers and sends nothing to our visit counter (below). If the guest goes on to this site's own pages, those are counted like any visit, and the counter takes the name out on their phone before anything is sent, so it is not kept there either.

When a guest replies, WhatsApp opens on their phone with the message written out. The reply goes from their WhatsApp to the host's number. It does not pass through us.

To learn which parts of this site help families decide, we count visits to its own pages, such as the home page, the list of samples, packages and the enquiry form, and to the guest-list page we give each family, with PostHog, an analytics service (PostHog Inc., data held in the United States). It records the pages opened, taps and scrolling, the kind of phone and browser, where a visit came from, the approximate city and country worked out from the internet address, how fast pages load, and errors.

An invitation itself, a sample invitation too, and every link a guest opens load none of this and send nothing: not the visit, a tap or a reply.

It may also record how a visit moves on screen, so we can see what is confusing. In those recordings, anything typed and guest names are hidden. It never receives what you type into a form, a guest's name from a link, or the words of a WhatsApp message.

Your browser keeps a random number for it (a cookie and local storage of this site) so that one person's visits count once. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it. To have your visits deleted, write to us at the address below.

The sample invitations on this site use made-up names. We never show a family's real invitation as a sample without asking first.

How long a link stays live depends on the package. With Shagun, until a month after the function. With Parivar and Bespoke, for a year.
